From 1992-2009, the Foundation awarded hundreds of classroom mini-grants in amounts ranging from $200 to $5,925. These grants provided teachers with supplemental funds to enrich educational experiences in the classroom.
How We Measure Results
Countless Decatur City Schools classrooms benefitted from various Foundation grants for 17 years. The Foundation has discontinued mini-grants to classrooms in favor of system-wide initiatives. Focus areas include student achievement, classroom technology, career tech, and data and accountability.
Every school within DCS has benefited from classroom grants since the Foundation was established in 1992.
