March Madness
March Madness is a focused initiative of the Million Word Challenge! This year we are looking forward to recognizing (& rewarding) the top class at each of our elementary schools & the top English Language Arts (ELA) class in each grade at our middle schools. The classes that read the most average words per student will receive a celebratory party in April. Happy Reading Everyone!
Impact Luncheon
During the DCSF Impact Luncheon, we will showcase our Believe Grow Achieve campaign accomplishments while previewing what is to come as we continue Building Bright Futures! This will be a lunchtime event and will only take place every four to five years.
Freckle Frenzy
Freckle Frenzy is a math initiative aimed at increasing independent learning in math. Students are encouraged to complete assignments in Freckle throughout the school year. However, in February, their time spent is tracked and students are able to compete among other students to earn cool prizes. These winners are also recognized as Decatur Diamonds during a DCS Board of Education meeting.
